Over the last several weeks, our Investigations & Rescue team has been working on a large-scale rescue involving around 200 cats. This is a hoarding situation at a single-family home. The owner admitted that things had gotten out of hand and they needed help. We stepped in when no one else could.
After several trips to the rescue scene, we have brought 26 cats and kittens back to our sanctuary to recover and find new homes. Additional rescue and spay/neuter organizations – Prevent Homeless Pets and Above the Bend Animal Assistance – have been involved with the remaining cats. Some of the cats in our care are thankfully in good health overall, and others are suffering from upper respiratory infections, eye infections, and parasites. The cats are scared and very shy, so our team is working on getting them comfortable and socialized. Once ready, they will all be available for adoption.
Your generosity is critical to support these large-scale rescues we undertake, and this one is no different. Please continue to support this lifesaving work!
