What we do

We not only help save individual animals, we also work to improve the systems that impact animals most in our society.

Our approach

We focus on the most vulnerable animals among us – victims of cruelty and neglect, animals living with families lacking access to critical services, and those whose very survival depends upon social and/or legislative change. Our ultimate goal is to inspire people to rethink their relationships with all animals.

Investigations & Rescue

We are improving the way the criminal justice system responds to crimes against animals. We investigate reports of animal cruelty and neglect, provide rescue for victim animals and provide trainings for law enforcement, prosecutors, veterinarians, and animal control.

Sanctuary

Located on 85-acres in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, our sanctuary is home to approximately 200 animals including dogs, cats and farmed animals. Most of these animals arrived as victims of cruelty and neglect. We provide medical care and rehabilitation to allow them a second chance at life.

Pet Services

We are improving the pet related services available to income qualified families through wellness and spay/neuter clinics as well as pet food banks. This work not only keeps families together, it also reduces shelter overpopulation and unnecessary euthanasia.

Education

From vegan cooking classes to summer camps and classroom presentations, we bring animal stories to life to encourage empathy and compassion. Our sanctuary tours and inspiring events draw hundreds of visitors each year to create moments of connection and understanding that all animals deserve love and protection.

Advocacy

Pasado’s gives a voice for the animals. We work with legislators and stakeholders to advocate for important policy changes, strengthen laws that benefit animals, and engage our community to support issues that will end animal suffering.
