Four months ago, Cheyenne was thrown from a car on a backroad in Washington. By chance, a caring citizen happened to witness the incident and brought her to safety. She showed signs of neglect and needed medical care. She had trouble walking and her back legs would shake. When the local shelter could not take her in, we welcomed Cheyenne to Pasado’s. With a full-time medical staff and Healing Barn, we are uniquely qualified to take in animals who need extensive and long-term medical care.

After seeing an orthopedic specialist, it was determined that Cheyenne had torn cruciate ligaments in both knees. She underwent surgery in June for the worst knee, and on 9/13/23 she had surgery on her second knee. Recovery hasn’t been easy for Cheyenne, but she is one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever had in our care. She is resilient, gentle, and loving. She has a bright future ahead and has a safe place with us for as long as she needs.

As you can imagine, her vet bills have been high and are expected to be over $11,000But we won’t give up on her! If you are able to, please consider donating to help us cover this cost. Your support will help Cheyenne’s surgery and recovery, and support all our work to end animal cruelty. Thank you for your generosity!
