In 2018, we embarked on the Kiss Animal Cruelty Goodbye capital campaign to help fund improvements across our sanctuary campus that will allow us to continue our fight to end animal cruelty for the decades ahead. We realized then that as our programs expand, we will need to upgrade our sanctuary facilities. Pasado’s sanctuary is literally and figuratively at the heart of our mission – it represents hope, embodies compassion, and activates change. It is the central hub for all our work for the animals, from lifesaving medical care and rehabilitation to education and advocacy work.
The capital campaign jump-started our first project in 2018 with Murphy’s Cow Barn. Since then, we have made incredible progress. In addition to the completion of Dog Towne and connecting to the municipal water supply, we celebrated the grand opening of Kitty City in April, which doubles our capacity for rescued cats. And we will soon break ground on a new Center for Compassion, expanding our reach and scope even further. You can see details on each of these projects here!
We are happy to share that as of early 2023, we have met our fundraising goal of $10M for this campaign. We are beyond grateful to you and our entire community of supporters who have made this possible.
We invite you to join us for a sanctuary tour or special event and see these essential updates yourself! And if you want to donate to this campaign and help fund our future Center for Compassion, you can make a donation today.
Thank you for your continued support as we forge ahead to Kiss Animal Cruelty Goodbye.
