February 25th was World Spay Day and together, we made a huge impact for thousands of pets in our community. Throughout the month, we partnered with 13 other animal welfare organizations across the region to tackle pet overpopulation through spay/neuter clinics for shelters and income-qualified families with companion animals. Together, we spayed/neutered 4,575 pets in February, preventing thousands of unwanted litters and keeping animals safe.

On World Spay Day, we brought both of our mobile spay stations to Federal Way, an area severely lacking in low-cost vet services, and hosted a clinic to spay/neuter 32 pets in one day. Thanks to Pet Supplies Plus and Pawsitive Alliance for making this special event a success!

The need for low-cost spay and neuter services is at an all-time high. We are grateful to all the organizations working to increase access to low-cost services across the state of Washington. If you would like to pitch in, consider volunteering at a clinic, donating to cover the cost of a surgery, or encouraging your friends and family to adopt not shop and spay/neuter their pets. Thank you!
