SANCTUARY UPDATE: This week, our sanctuary was hit hard by the devastating storm that is impacting our region. Thankfully, all our animals, staff, and volunteers are safe. The power is still out with no estimated day or time of restoration and we have lots of trees and branches down, with damage to Dog Towne, Big Pig Yard, and our Aviary. Our team has already made temporary repairs so the animals can be let out of their barns. We also began the daunting task of clearing the countless fallen trees and debris across our 85-acre sanctuary.

The aftermath has left us with a costly cleanup and urgent repairs. With a significant amount of fencing to fix and tree removals, we are estimating unexpected costs of more than $14,000. In addition to this massive repair bill, we need to get a backup generator for our Healing Barn. During extended power outages like this, we must be able to care for the animals in recovery, keep medications refrigerated, and operate lab equipment. This estimated cost is an additional $15,000.

Please help us cover these emergency repair costs. Every gift makes a difference in helping us rebuild and keep the animals safe. Your generosity will ensure our sanctuary remains a safe space for animals to heal and will support all our work to end animal cruelty.
