To our community,
We want to inform our community of supporters that we are in a time of leadership transition. Cynthia Wang has resigned from her executive director role and moved on from Pasado’s Safe Haven. We wish Cynthia the best in her future endeavors.
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Sheila Lee, Sr. Director of Finance & Operations, as the interim Executive Director. Sheila has been a dedicated Pasado’s leadership team member for seven years. She deeply understands our mission, values, and operations. We are confident in her ability to lead the organization during this transitional period.
With your support, we are a resilient organization. While changes of this nature feel uncertain, our mission and impact are clear. Be assured our dedicated team is aligned to carry out this critical work for the animals.
As you know, Pasado’s Safe Haven is at the forefront of the fight to end animal cruelty and create a more compassionate world. Pasado’s investigated/assisted with 166 animal cruelty and neglect cases in the past year alone. We performed over 3,300 spay/neuter surgeries for pets from low-income families. We supported the care and rehabilitation of 354 animals at our sanctuary and found forever homes for 169 rehabilitated animals. Because of the work of our advocacy team, two significant laws were signed by the Governor that will have a lasting impact for the animals. These are just a few of our milestones from the last year. Because of your support, we can continue being a voice for change.
We are incredibly grateful for your ongoing loyalty to Pasado’s Safe Haven and passion for ending animal cruelty. Your generosity and commitment make our continued success on behalf of the animals possible.
With gratitude and appreciation,
The Board of Directors
