Our Investigations + Rescue Team has been working incredibly hard on several urgent rescues in the last several weeks. In the span of 11 days we rescued 80 animals, both domestic and farm animals. We responded to 4 separate rescues in Washington state, including a heartbreaking puppy mill situation. This has been a significant undertaking for our sanctuary team, especially amid the increased challenges brought by the pandemic. But we are certain that more lives would have been lost if we didn’t respond immediately.
Our staff and volunteers have worked extra hard to provide the significant medical care that many of these animals need, and are making sure each animal feels safe and comforted while they heal. We are at full capacity, but when we are aware of circumstances in which animals are enduring daily suffering and have no other options, we get creative and make it work.
Every animal we rescued has an individual story that deserves to be told, but the truth is that we can’t share details just yet because these survivors are part of active criminal cases. Please know that this is just as difficult for us as it is for you to not be able to share the details, but we must hold them securely for the success of the prosecution. We are dedicated to doing everything we can to help assure that these cases are prosecuted successfully and the offenders are held responsible and never able to re-offend.
Thank you for your compassion. Because of generous donations from our supporters like you, these animals are getting a second chance at life. You are allowing us to give them the care, love and new beginning that they so deserve.
From our entire team at Pasado’s Safe Haven, thank you for making this work possible.
