UPDATE 8/30/23: We are heartbroken to report that the body of another dog brutally murdered was found in Yakima County. Estimated at roughly 4 years of age, a female Mastiff type breed dog was discovered on Sunday, August 20, 2023, in the area of the intersection of Bell Telephone Rd and Roza Creek Rd, on the LT Murray Wildlife Area; WA Dept of Fish and Wildlife property. It appears that this dog was shot twice and left to die.

Together with support from our partners People for Animal Care and Kindness, Team Okanogan Animal Rescue, and PETA, we are offering a $10,000 reward for tips leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible. Pasado’s Investigation and Rescue team continues working with the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office on a distressing case involving multiple deceased dogs found throughout Yakima County. Since March, the bodies of five deceased dogs with injuries consistent with severe abuse and neglect have been found.
We must stop these horrific deaths.
We are raising the reward to $10,000 for tips leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person(s) responsible with support from our partners, People for Animal Care and Kindness, Team Okanogan Animal Rescue, and PETA.
Anyone with specific details that are relevant to the current incidents should call 1-800-222-TIPS and reference case #23C03867, or submit a tip on Yakima County Crime Stopper’s website.
As of this week, we’ve recovered all five bodies and brought them to the sanctuary. Our medical team is performing necropsies to determine the type and level of abuse these animals suffered. We hope to find new leads and uncover evidence. But we need your help to find the person or persons involved.
If you would like to contribute to the reward and support our work in this ongoing investigation, you can donate here. You can also help spread the word: visit our Facebook and Instagram pages to share our posts on this case.
