Pasado’s Safe Haven is powered by volunteers who donate their time for the animals. Check out the below volunteer opportunities to find one that suits you! Potential volunteers must complete an online application and background check, and meet our age requirements noted at the bottom of this page.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Complete an online application
- To ensure the safety of our animals, staff, volunteers, and community, all volunteers are subject to a background check. Individuals may be ineligible to volunteer based on certain criminal history, including violent offenses, theft-related offenses, sex offenses, animal cruelty, and crimes involving harm to vulnerable individuals. Some offenses result in automatic disqualification, while others are evaluated based on factors such as the nature of the offense, how long ago it occurred, and its relevance to the volunteer role. Our organization is committed to applying this policy consistently, fairly, and in accordance with applicable laws, with safety as our top priority.
- Volunteers ages 12 to 15 years must volunteer alongside legal guardian
- Volunteers ages 16 and 17 years may volunteer with legal guardian consent
- Attend a volunteer orientation
- Complete necessary training
- Minimum commitment of 1 shift per month for 3 months
- Purchase a $12.00 volunteer t-shirt
