About Pasado’s Safe Haven
Pasado’s Safe Haven is a nonprofit organization fighting to end animal cruelty. Our 85-acre sanctuary outside Monroe, Washington, is home to over 200 animals, including dogs, cats, pigs, goats, sheep, cows, donkeys, llamas, ducks, chickens, and more.
Our animal residents found refuge here after surviving cruelty. Now they live freely as valued, beloved individuals. We focus on helping the most vulnerable animals — victims of cruelty and neglect, animals living with families lacking access to critical services, and those whose survival depends on legislative change. Our programs educate the public about how to help end animal suffering and ensure that victim animals have a second chance at life.
We Welcome You to Enjoy our Safe Space
We will greet you when you arrive and provide a map and directions around our campus. There are no structured events or activities, just an open, safe space for you to unwind.
You’ll have the opportunity to visit our Cow Barn, Dog Play Park, Kitty City, hiking trails, and pig, goat and sheep yards. Staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions, but you’re free to explore at your own pace. We’ll provide free vegan snacks and beverages at our central event space, Pasado’s House.
Our Sanctuary Is More Than a Place
Sanctuary is a feeling of safety, belonging, and peace. We live these values every day. This day is to honor you and provide a place to unwind without the outside world’s pressures. We hope you will come to walk the peaceful trails, find a quiet spot by the creek, or relax with a furry friend in Kitty City. Enjoy Pasado’s sanctuary however it feels right to you.
No pressure. No agenda. Just space to enjoy nature and the animals. We can’t wait to welcome you to our safe haven.
