Let’s Kiss Animal Cruelty Goodbye!
For over 25 years, Pasado’s Safe Haven and our supporters have been on a mission to end animal cruelty
Our comprehensive programs are tackling this complex issue head-on. We seek to both alleviate animal suffering and eradicate its root causes. The result will be a world where animal cruelty is a thing of the past.
But as our reach and scope of service have expanded, our aging sanctuary facilities have struggled to keep pace. In 2018, we embarked on the Kiss Animal Cruelty Goodbye capital campaign to help fund improvements across our sanctuary campus that will allow us to continue our fight to end animal cruelty for the decades ahead. Since then, we have made incredible progress including a new Cow Barn, Dog Towne, Water/Fire Infrastructure and Kitty City.
We are happy to share that as of early 2023, we have met our fundraising goal of $10M for this campaign. We are beyond grateful to our entire community of supporters who have made this possible.
Our vision
Every animal matters. At Pasado’s Safe Haven, we envision a world where every animal is recognized as an individual with his/her own feelings, emotions and personality…and most importantly, with the right to live free from abuse, neglect or exploitation. We seek both to alleviate animal suffering and eradicate its root causes. The result will be a world where animal cruelty is a thing of the past. Our programs strive to inspire people to identify with animals, leading to changes in systems and societal practices that further protect animals and ultimately put us in right relationship to each other. We are relentless in our resolve to end animal cruelty. Our commitment to justice in human-animal relationships drives work that is focused on the most vulnerable animals among us – victims of cruelty and neglect, animals living with families lacking access to critical services, and those animals whose very survival depends upon social and/or legislative change. We are raising the bar on an entire system.
