Sassy Pepper is a 9-year-old gal who was relinquished by her owner at an area shelter. Her owners simply decided that they didn’t want this gorgeous girl anymore and continued on with their lives without a backward glance. Pepper remained at the shelter with a broken heart, hoping that her master and mistress would return for her…but they didn’t.
We cannot imagine leaving behind a beloved family member after five years of love and friendship, or the fear and pain that this broken-hearted beauty must have felt. But the sad truth is that countless feline family members are abandoned every year at area shelters – and it’s a reality that we work to change every single day.
When Pepper first arrived at Pasado’s Safe Haven, she was understandably shaken and sad. In the four years that Pepper has been a resident at Misty’s Kitty City, though, this feisty gal has learned to love, trust, and hope once again.
A pet’s heart is one of the most magnificent things on earth, and Pepper’s heart is especially grand. Her capacity to forgive, despite all that happened to her, astounds us. This holiday season, we hope that Pepper can finally find her forever home…and have her “purrfect present.”
Pepper is the Queen of Misty’s Kitty City. She’s beautiful, spirited, and loving, and she likes to “call the shots” with the other feline residents. Pepper also likes to remind her people when it’s time for meals and when she’d like to have some attention. Pepper is pleasantly plump and has an unusual tabby coat with festive flashes of gold and orange. Pepper’s pretty face always has a half-smile, and her sea-green eyes always hold a twinkle of mischief and a glimmer of hope.
