My Bags Are All Packed And I’m Ready to Go Home!
Joyful Jet is an eight-year-old black lab mix with a hopeful smile and an eager expression. True to his age, Jet is an amazing combination of wisdom, energy, hope, and happiness. And true to his breed, this sweet boy wants so much to please. He would go in any direction that you would ask, but unfortunately, he was directed to an area shelter.
This beautiful boy was picked up as a “stray,” but we think that he was actually left behind. We cannot imagine why someone would abandon this devoted dog. Jet obviously belonged to someone during his life, because he has impeccable manners. He’s potty trained, sits on command, and anticipates your every request.
When Jet arrived at Pasado’s Dog Towne, he was overweight, had no hair on his back-end, and was infested with fleas. After some recuperation and exercise with his new Dog Towne buddies, Jet’s coat grew back and he slimmed down. Now he is sleek, streamlined, and ready for his “flight home.”
Jet is beautiful from the inside out. He’s all black except for a unique ring around his tail and his muzzle and whiskers are grey. Jet is a family dog who wants to belong in a household more than anything.
When we find sweet souls like Jet at area shelters, we cannot imagine why someone would have given them up. Day after day at the shelter, they watch for their person to come and save them from “doggy jail…” but they never do. The hope and resilience in dogs like Jet is uplifting. They have lost their family, but they still have so much love to give. And it’s our job to make sure that someone is on the receiving end of their love.
