JUSTICE FOR MOLLY!
Nov 13, 2009 - Read King5 story here!

Beloved family pet “Molly” shot on two separate occasions. The second shooting resulted in her death. Join Pasado's in being a voice for Molly!

Molly, a beloved family pet, was fatally shot near her home. Pasado's Safe Haven receives cases like this much too often. This is why we would like to encourage people to remember that part of owning a pet is following the law of keeping them contained and on a leash at all times. It only takes a moment for an animal to become lost, stolen, or injured. However, in many cases like this, families take all the necessary precautions to keep their animals safe, and they are still victims of tragedy.

Pasado’s has reviewed the facts and will be supporting the prosecution
of this case. Molly couldn’t speak out for herself, but you can be a voice for her.

The alleged perpetrator, was arrested and booked into Snohomish County Jail on Nov. 4th pending Charges of: Felony 1st Degree Animal Cruelty and Fourth Degree Assault.

Case History:
August 21st, 2006: 4-month-old Chocolate Lab puppy named Murphy (image above left) was last seen playing with a Lab/Retriever mix named Molly (image above right) in a wooded area near their home. Gunshots were heard and Molly returned running and scared, but otherwise unharmed. Murphy the puppy did not return and was never seen again.

September 1st, 2006: A single gunshot was heard. Moments later, Molly returned home with a bullet wound through her back resulting in a nine-inch wound. Molly survived. No charges were filed due to a lack of evidence.

November 4th, 2009: A single gunshot was heard again. Molly’s owner searched for Molly, who was found laying on the alleged perpetrator’s property. She was in a pool of blood with a gunshot wound through her shoulder. Molly’s owner claimed the alleged perp drove up on his ATV, knocking her over and injuring her leg. Molly’s owner reached Molly and checked for her pulse, but Molly was already dead. According to Molly’s owner, the alleged perpetrator assaulted her again as she pleaded and watched helplessly as the perpetrator allegedly tied a cable around Molly’s neck and drug her lifeless body away with his ATV.

Seven Snohomish County Sheriffs armed with assault rifles drawn arrived at the crime scene due to the perpetrator's alleged violent history. When officers searched him, they found what was later identified as Molly's collar. Molly’s body was later found dumped in a ravine on someone else's property.

Nov 4th, 2009 at 1100hrs: The perpetrator was arrested, booked, and was released 26 hours later on $5000.00 bail from Snohomish County Jail on Pending charges of: Felony First Degree Animal Cruelty and Fourth Degree Assault.

Pasado’s Safe Haven will be actively following and supporting prosecution of this case.
