It’s not hard to see how Oreo earned her name. With her black and white
coloring, Oreo is a double-stuffed sweetie. But her past hasn’t all been “cookies and cream.”
Oreo came to Pasado’s Safe Haven from a crowded shelter. Why was she sent to “kitty jail?” Oreo had been feeling unwell, and her owner hadn’t wanted to deal with the responsibility.
Here at Pasado's, we simply cannot understand throwing away a family member – especially when
they were in need of help.
Poor Oreo had been suffering with a large wound that had become infected due to a lack of medical attention. Her suffering could have been avoided, but instead, she was left to fend for herself.
After Pasado’s vets treated Oreo, she was placed in a temporary foster home
not only to heal her wounds, but to heal her heart, as well. It’s frightening to be abandoned by those who are supposed to love you the most.
Oreo is a very affectionate cat. She rolls on her back or rubs on your leg for more attention, and she’s always up for a good session of cuddling.
She is also very playful and loves to pounce
on moving string and swipe at dangling cat
toys.
Oreo’s ideal home would include a comfy bed
where she can snooze away the afternoon and
a warm lap where she can spend lazy evenings
in front of the television. This sweet
cookie is a bit of a couch potato, and she
can’t wait to snuggle and relax with her
forever home and her forever human.
