Focus on Friendship

PICTURE PERFECT
As the leading provider of digital media worldwide, Getty Images is accustomed to keeping the big picture “in focus.” We were fortunate to have this winning company visit our sanctuary for a volunteer day, where the focus was on friendship, farm tasks, and our furry residents...

The Getty Group of volunteers (image right) offered a diverse range of services here at the sanctuary, rolling up their sleeves and cleaning out several of our sheds, leaving them spic and span and looking like they were brand-new. Afterward, they headed to Misty’s Kitty City, cleaning our feline friends’ home (image below left).

Work volunteer parties are often the highlight of our day, and this day was fit for framing!

The Getty Group also provided invaluable assistance for our dog rescuing process. One of the most important parts of the “Pasado’s Process” of dog rescuing is our mandatory isolation period. Kennels are required for proper isolation, and this time period provides us time to assess a dog’s specific needs, unique behaviors, and medical conditions, if any. The Getty Images Group helped construct new isolation kennels across from the “people barn,” ensuring that we would have room for our new Dog Towne arrivals (image above right).

After this hard work, the Getty Group walked some of our very happy hounds around the sanctuary grounds. They capped off a great day by sharing a fantastic vegetarian lunch and getting “up close and personal” with all of the animals here at the sanctuary.

Chester our resident blind pony (image above left), was happy to accept treats from the Getty Group. Opportunistic Dali Llama, was sure to not miss out on the bounty (image above right).

Pasado's feathered friends enjoy a handful of sweet corn (images above).

Zsa Zsa, one of our resident goats, was happy to nibble some corn right out of a volunteer's hand (image above left), while, Rudy, struck a pose as if he knew this group is a sucker for a good photo.

Fawnstar and Daisy are happy to greet any newcomer that comes their way (images above). It is so rewarding to us that these sweet souls, who once suffered abuse and neglect, are able to trust again.

We couldn’t picture a better way to spend a day.

Does volunteering here at Pasado’s sound like something your company would like to do? If so, please email our Volunteer Director here to find out how to have a picture perfect day.

And to all of our Getty Images volunteers, thank you for focusing on us. A picture is worth a thousand words, and your help was worth a thousand smiles!

If you can't volunteer at this time, your donation can still make difference.

(don't forget to ask your employer
to match your donation)
