Project Pasado's: Exceeding Expectations

Our hearts are always warmed by our volunteers' generosity and hard work.

Here at Pasado's Safe Haven, there are always stalls to clean, coats to brush, paths to clear, and mouths to feed. It's joyous work, but there's a lot of it - and that's where our wonderful volunteers step in!

We were delighted to have a group from Projectline visit us recently. Projectline is a company whose mission is to positively impact the people that they work with and the people in their community. And we're so glad that they carried out their mission here at the sanctuary! Their formula of great people and great expectations definitely yielded extraordinary results.

The Projectline Team worked up a sweat clearing brush and cleaning kennels, but they also made time for the animals. They made sure to give their love to Babs, our long-time resident donkey and her faithful mini horse sidekick, Chester. They said hello to the chickens, pigs, horses and even had time to kid around with the goats, pat some grateful cats, and
give belly rubs to our A.A.R.F.F. happy hounds!

According to Erin at Projectline, "Our group had a fabulous day at Pasado's! Our company had volunteered there before and it had been a company favorite. So people were excited to participate again at Pasado's. I also attended your bowling fundraiser last year and I had so much fun at that event that I couldn't wait to visit the farm!"

Here at Pasado's, we like to exceed expectations, as well. Erin was surprised by what she saw. "To be honest, I was expecting it to be a somewhat somber day...due to rough lives that these animals had led. But I was pleasantly surprised to find the sanctuary a very happy and joyful place. Knowing that the animals have a forever home, no matter what, is such a relief. I think that the animals know that they are finally safe and sound from any harm."

To everyone at Projectline, thank you so much for exceeding our expectations - and we'll continue to strive to exceed yours.
