General
Requirements -
We count on the
volunteers who come out one day a week to help! If you'd like to help the animals, don't mind
getting dirty, and don't mind spending a morning or afternoon on the
farm, then let us know. Please note that we're a good hour from Seattle
- so make sure commuting isn't a problem. And please do not apply unless
you can make a long-term, 3-month commitment. We come to rely on your
help, and the animals come to know you so well, it hurts them (and us)
if you can't commit. Click
here
to apply. And get ready for some feel good volunteering!

Kitty City and Barn Cat Caretakers -
If you love cats, then
this is YOUR position! Our dedicated Kitty CIty and barn cat caretakers
come out religiously, every week to care for, clean up after, feed, and
love our Pasado cats! You'll work inside Kitty City, caring for the
senior cats and then after, a couple of hours inside, you'll head out to
the barns where the ferals are no longer feral! There you clean and feed
them and assure they're all healthy.
Our cats run to you
when you arrive - they really look forward to the caretakers arriving.
You'll ve well-rewarded for your efforts!

A.A.R.F.F. Dog Caretakers -
The old dogs of A.A.R.F.F. need a caring person to come and visit them! You would freshen
their bedding, feed and medicate them, massage their old bones, and give
those who can, a walk. You'd need to make a solid 3-month weekly
commitment (minimum) because they'd really depend on you! Requirements:
Ability to travel to the sanctuary in Monroe (one hour from Seattle in
NON-rush hour - please make sure the commute is not a problem before
you apply, 45
minutes from the Eastside). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Someone who
will not cancel unless it's an emergency (we and the animals depend you!). Click

to apply!

Sanctuary Caretakers
Imagine starting your week by driving out to the country, entering a long
wooded drive, and hearing the sounds of chickens, dogs, goats, sheep,
cows, and hundreds of animals - all welcoming YOU!
Our caretakers are who our animals look forward to seeing - your duties
would range based on whether you help in the morning or in the
afternoon. Some open their barns and houses, feed the animals, give them their first hug
for the day, and clean up after them. If you help in the afternoon your
work could range from scrubbing a water trough, to bathing a donkey! You need to love all animals - and
you can't mind getting dirty, or working hard. It takes a good 3-4 hours
to take care of our rescued crew. Click
here to apply for something
that is guaranteed to start your week off right! A solid 3-month
commitment is required as this position requires detailed training. |
