So, what's it like to be a Pasado's Volunteer?!
Susan and Karen, left, started volunteering when there was nothing here - no buildings, no fencing. We were just starting out. It's so good to see the faces we've gotten to know over the years. Plus, they brought out Catherine, a co-worker and put her to work, too!

Here they're helping in the office. Some folks like to stay dry and clean, so this is a great option!

Look at that smile! That's Pam, left. She prefers working in the office too, but not everyone does...

Lynda and Cheri, left, have been Wednesday evening sanctuary caretakers for years. They come religiously to feed all of the farm animals and then put them to bed in their stalls and barns. They know every animal and trust us, every animal knows them. They bring kernel corn for the chickens and you can watch the hens and rooster run to them when they arrive! Babs and Chester, our donkey and blind pony, adore them. Every animal does. Lynda and Cheri come no matter what the weather and if it gets dark at 4:20 in the wintertime, they work in the dark, wearing a headlight. We are so moved to know so amazing people with such generous. souls.

Others prefer to work with the dogs, which requires working in all kinds of weather, hot, cold, wind, and rain. Above, Larry and Gillian have been A.A.R.F.F. volunteers for years. They assist our senior dogs by taking them to the vet, picking up medications for them, walking them, cleaning their dog cabins, picking up poop in Dog Towne, and so many other ways. Although they are "signed up" to volunteer one day a week, they're here all the time helping!
