People call and write to us everyday wanting to know when they can tour Pasado's Safe Haven.
We're so honored. But our goal is to rescue and care for the animals who need us. Although
we wish we could give tours everyday, we simply need to focus our time and energy (and your money!)
on the animals. So only three times a year, Spring, Summer, and Fall - we give memorable tours one
person called "...besides giving birth to my son, touring Pasado's
was one of the most special days of my life!"

ABOUT PASADO TOURS
Get ready...wear some good walking shoes
(hope you don't mind getting dirty),
and prepare for three hours of learning, loving, and meeting magical animals...
Our tours usually welcome about 100 people. They come from all over - many from the Pacific
Northwest where we are located, but many from far corners of the country and the world. Many
local people assure their friends or relatives visit when a PasadoTour is scheduled. As one
woman told us, "I make sure my family and friends come to see me when I can take them to Pasado's.
We have breakfast at a nice country restaurant on the way and then head out for a great afternoon.

Taking a Pasado Tour gives you a chance to meet the animals rescued from peril. It's a chance to meet "happy endings" of all sizes, one-on-one.
Our guided tours last as long as three hours (depending on your questions!) and begin promptly at 1:30 p.m.
REMEMBER: Our tours fill up quickly, so please try to send in your
reservation as soon as possible!
Meet the AARFF dogs, the senior woofers who faced euthanasia at area shelters, just
because they are old. Every animal at Pasado's Safe Haven is a "happy ending" - and not
one animal lives in a cage. They roam free whether they are a cat, dog, or farm critter.
The tours are hosted by Susan Michaels, Founder of Pasado's Safe Haven. They begin with
the history of Pasado's - how it began, why is began, and why the people who support our
programs, like you, are so vital to protecting those we rescue. Then the tour begins!

Every tour give everyone a chance to meet each and every animal, and hear their stories.
One of the best parts of a PasadoTour is getting to meet animals you may have never gotten "up close and
personal" with - goats, pigs, cows, donkeys. Our animals usually arrive sick and scared, but overtime,
they're a lot like Buford, left. They become healthy and begin to trust. And finally, they want to be on
your lap - even the cows. No kidding!
You will learn that every animal is a "companion animal" if given the chance to be loved as much as a cat
or a dog.
The tour culminates at the Pasado Gift Shop. You can bring your own vegan picnic (non-animal food, please)
and enjoy a leisurely lunch in a beautiful farm setting serenaded by mooing cows, crowing roosters, and
gobbling turkeys!

Because we limit the number of visitors, our tours fill up quickly, so please try to send in
your reservation as soon as possible. We will send an acknowledgment of your reservation with
directions to the sanctuary. There is no need to telephone or e-mail us for confirmation. Pasado's
Safe Haven appreciates your tax-deductible donations. Without the support of friends like you, the
sanctuary could not exist.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:
All visitors to the farm are required to submit a Reservation Form. Pasado's Safe Haven feels strongly that
abused and neglected animals cannot simply be rescued - their owners must be prosecuted to the fullest extent
to assure that the cruelty will not be repeated again. Consequently, Pasado's Safe Haven is very concerned for
the safety of the resident animals and the caretakers who reside 24-hours on-site to care for the animals.
Animals have been threatened to be killed "to remove evidence" prior to a criminal proceeding and we have been
threatened repeatedly. All visitors are monitored by video surveillance 24 hours a day. We hope you understand
why we need to be careful and why we do not publish directions to the sanctuary on the website. Working
aggressively for the animals has its price.
Following acceptance of your reservation:
PLEASE WEAR COMFORTABLE WALKING SHOES that you do not mind getting dirty.
Expect to have dogs and other animals near to you. If you are afraid of any animal or have allergies, this might not be the experience for you.
No dogs please. You'll be visiting animals like cats, senior dogs, chickens, ducks, and other animals who may be frightened by dogs they do not know.
Bring your camera! There will be a lot to photograph!
Can't make the Spring, Summer or Fall tour? Private tours for groups of 12 or more can be arranged for a minimum donation of $500.

Q: What time do the tours begin and how
long are they?
A: Our guided tours last up to three hours and begin promptly at 1:30 p.m.
Q: Is the tour appropriate for children?
A: Pasado's Safe Haven has been host to many children and school classes over the years - it's a wonderful learning experience. However, the reality of animal rescue may be alarming to some children, therefore our tours do not accommodate children under the age of 12.
Q: Are you a petting zoo?
A: No. The animals at Pasado's Safe Haven are here to help, not to entertain.
Q. If I have difficulty walking, can I still take a tour?
A. The paths we follow on our tour are on steep hills and are composed of dirt, rock, and sand. They are difficult, even for us many times, to navigate.
Q: Can I bring treats for the animals?
A. Please do!
We suggest the biggest bags of carrots you can find (one cow or horse will eat a 5 lb bag in about 3 minutes!). Even our dogs love carrots.
Q: What about dog treats?
A: Frankly, our dogs are too well fed already! Most are on special diets anyway so we try not to give them unlimited treats. But catnip toys, apples, dried apricots for the goats, and carrots (of course) are always welcome!
