Sanctuary 101 2009
What Is It?
A chance to learn how to begin a sanctuary - from very small to very large - from people who've "been there". Learn from our
mistakes and successes to minimize wasting time, money, and effort
. And learn it on-site at Pasado's Safe Haven, a sanctuary built from scratch.

Why We Offer Sanctuary 101
Our dream is that a sanctuary similar to Pasado's, exist in every state and
beyond our U.S. borders. There are few shelters that reach out and help the animals who suffer
because of factory farming or due to pet overpopulation. |
|

We need more people to
work on behalf of these most-forgotten of creatures and we need places
of safety where those who can be saved, can live out their lives in
peace. |
|

People from every state and many countries
have attended our annual workshop throughout the years. And some have
opened extraordinary sanctuaries, saving countless innocent lives.
|
What You Will Learn
Everything you need to know to start a sanctuary, large or small. Advice on how to gain non-profit status and keep it. How to
fund-raise and budget. How to legally pursue animal rescues and investigations and how to
achieve victories for the animals through prosecutions and convictions. How to medically treat the animals you save and how to layout and build a sanctuary from the ground up. |
|
 |
When & Where
Sanctuary 101 is held at Pasado's Safe Haven,
located on 80 acres in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. We are located one hour from Seattle and only 30 minutes from
the Cascade Mountains, gushing waterfalls, and the stunning beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
Apart from learning how to build your dream for the animals, you'll enjoy meeting - and learning
from - turkeys, cows, pigs, chickens, goats and other rescued animals. We offer the best cow kisses around! |
|
 |
Reservations
Because Sanctuary 101 is a popular workshop, we book up quickly. We
recommend making reservations as soon as possible since we keep the
class small so everyone will have a great chance at learning.
See you on the farm!
