Two months, 1200 animals saved , and countless memories. PasadoRescue in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.

They come to us crippled, unable to walk due to abuse, neglect, or injuries. Pasado's Safe Haven has invented creative orthopedic devices to help animals learn to walk, once again.

A homeless man loved her for eight years, but she became so ill, she needed help to save her life...

Tied to a trash can lid by her "owners", a sweet, little girl runs into traffic, lid attached, and is hit by a car, shattering her leg. The vet who was called refuses to give her back to her "owners"...

She dragged a dog behind her van for a 1/2 mile, then fled when police tried to arrest her. A $3000 reward, issued by Pasado's Safe Haven brought in the tip that led to the woman's arrest, and a first-degree charge of animal cruelty...

A kitten, heinously hurt by teenagers, had to drag herself up onto the front porches of different homes, until one woman finally called Pasado's Safe Haven for help...

When an egg farmer decided to stop feeding his flock of 50,000 hens, Pasado's Safe Haven rescued the survivors and achieved the first animal cruelty conviction of an egg farmer in the U.S....

The call came in in the middle of the night, and what Pasado's investigators stumbled upon, was the worst case of cruelty we'd ever witnessed...

Kindergartners routinely hatched chicks as a science project in school, resulting in 1000 hens & roosters born every year in the Pacific Northwest. Dumped in neighborhoods and parks, these animals died of starvation or were attacked by predators, until Pasado's Safe Haven stopped the program, for good...

When the manager of a trailer park was called to investigate a putrid odor coming from one of the homes, she couldn't believe what she found, and called Pasado's Safe Haven...
