the horrors of Hurricane Katrina taught us it's that small groups of
people can do big things for animals. It was you, us (a small animal
rescue group comparatively-speaking) and dozens of others like us who
made the biggest difference for the animals in the Gulf.
Did we make mistakes? You
bet. Did we save hundreds and hundreds of animals? Yes we did. And we
did it, together.
Pasado's Safe Haven
works with people like you - people with passion, across the
country to launch grass-roots efforts to force cruelty cases to trial,
to pass tougher animal cruelty legislation, to rescue one animal or
hundreds such as puppy mill or cockfighting busts. We cannot tell you
HOW IMPORTANT your single voice is to making a difference in your area.
What do we do?
For instance, if a cruelty case is reported in your town or region, we
help you get the media involved. We help you get the case to trial. And
if your state's animal cruelty laws aren't tough enough to address the
act of cruelty or neglect, we help you write and pass legislation.
Animals may suffer, but
beyond rescue, the abuser must pay. The laws must change. Will you help
