Volunteers became warriors and learned to break into houses - there were beating hearts inside houses who needed help, fast.

The logisitics of managing hundreds of PasadoRescuers on-the-ground and hundreds more sick and dying animals was a daunting task.

Latest Katrina Updates

The place we called home.
A place where 1200 animals were saved; a place where miracles happened every minute.
 
The vets who performed miracles.
They left their own practices to bring life-saving efforts to the animals of Katrina.
Private jets and commerical passenger airliners were offered to PasadoRescue to move as many rescued animals out of Louisiana, so we could continue rescuing. It was astounding to watch the massive airlifts take place to save lives.  
Reunions between pets and their people (updated often!)
We are still celebrating bringing together Katrina evacuees and their beloved animals. It's the best reward of all.
 
The pets who were never claimed find new homes and new love with PasadoRescuers who saved their lives.
The people we will never forget.
We share a forever bond.
 
The corporations, military, and unexpected sources that made our life-saving mission possible.
The animals you wrote to us about and wondered "what happened to them". Every one of the 1200 animals we saved touched our hearts, but a few, touched our souls.
