| The following is a sample of the
necropsies Pasado's Safe Haven paid for to assist the Louisiana State
Attorney General's Office in pursuing this case. We also paid for
radiographs (x-rays) of each animal. The Louisiana State University's
Veterinary Medical School Diagnostics Lab charged Pasado's $7743.00 for
the results.
It was, and still is, our hope that the
shell casings collected during these necropsies would be used to conduct
ballistics tests to pinpoint which law enforcement officers killed the
33 dogs and cats left in St. Bernard Parish Schools. To date, no tests
have been ordered by the AG's office, to our knowledge.
Whether or not the AG's office sees a
criminal case through to fruition, we'll use these necropsy and
radiograph results in a civil suit Pasado's Safe Haven will pursue on
behalf of the owners of the murdered animals. |
