$5000 Reward
Dog Poisoning

Pasado's Safe Haven is offering a $5000 reward to tips leading to the arrest, prosecution and conviction of the person or persons involved with poisoning dogs in West Seattle.     

One of the victims of the poisoning is Mohawk, who was rescued by Pasado's Safe Haven in the aftermath of Katrina.  He was found two weeks after the hurricane in very poor health and suffering from a severe case of mange.  After being nursed back to health, he found his forever home with Camme Owen where he has lived a happy life for the past 2 years filled with love and trips to the dog park.   


Last week, Owen took Mohawk to Westcrest off- leash dog park in West Seattle.  Later that night, Mohawk was rushed to the emergency vet and appeared to have ingested poison.  After receiving two blood transfusions and a plasma transfusion along with other treatments, Mohawk is expected to make a full recovery.

Pasado's has received other reports of dog poisoning by means of treats containing poison that have been hidden under brush along walking trails and parks. 
 

What you can do:

Please help us get the word out by printing and posting our Reward flyer!   Please post this information everywhere as it is not clear if this perpetrator even lives in the West Seattle area.  This information will also help warn pet owners of this crime.  In case their animal falls ill, they will be informed and able to provide the proper care and treatment for them.
