Goose E. Goose, in safe hands now with Pasado's rescue team

Much like Pasado, the donkey, Goose E. Goose was also a beloved fixture in the community who was maliciously beaten and tortured last week at an apartment complex in White Center, WA.  Fortunately he survived the attack and is now living safely at Pasado's sanctuary.

Our Humane Investigator, Angel L, received the call on the 19th and upon investigation, found that the neighborhood goose had been kicked several times in the chest and then held down while each wing feather was torn from him one by one.  "The pain of this heinous act of animal cruelty would be the equivalent of a human having their nails ripped out.  Neighbors heard the screams and eye witnesses have come forward.  The community was horrified that this goose that they had known, fed and loved for the past 9 years could have been treated in this horrifying manner.   Neighbors are also concerned about a perpetrator capable of this sort of intentional cruelty being on the loose in their community.

Each one of his wing feather's was maliciously torn from his helpless body
Neighbors also say this is the third violent act of animal cruelty towards geese at this apartment community this year, one of which involved a decapitation.  Researchers, as well as the FBI and other law enforcement agencies nationwide, have linked animal cruelty to domestic violence, child abuse, and serial killings.
