Home for the HOWLidays 2007! |
|
...and they gathered
bright and early, Christmas morning knowing that this day they would
make a difference in many lives... |
 |
 |
|
The mood was festive, to
say the least, and there were many silly hats as Pasado's volunteers
grew excited to share their Christmas happiness and joy! |
 |
 |

|
They gathered supplies,
generously donated by YOU and set off to bring a smiles to many faces!
|

And there were many little
faces waiting for something happy to happen to them on Christmas Day... |

This little pup did not
have any toys or a dry shelter. She was
such a love and melted everyone's hearts. |
 |
 |
|
And on Christmas night she
will sleep in her brand new dog house with cozy blankets and her new
toys. |
 |
 |
This
little pup and her mother are truly loved by their human companions and
that was obvious to Pasado's staff and volunteers. The pups'
family lives on the bus pictured in the background in photo seen on the
left. Hardly able to provide for themselves, they were grateful
for the gifts and supplies for their dogs that really are an important
part of their family. |

To be able to look into
the eyes of these sweet souls that just love and want to be loved - no
matter what their living conditions are- and to know that WE TRULY MADE
A DIFFERENCE TO THEM, was truly the best Christmas gift we could ever
receive. |

Those of us that work
around animals know that THEY KNOW MORE than we could imagine sometimes.
This handsome dog, Kiko, literally jumped for joy as we delivered his
Christmas gifts! |

And he even got a kiss
from Yvonne! |

And lots of love from all
the volunteers! |

Some areas were not
accessible by car. Not to worry! Pasado's volunteers were
ready to carry in supplies to those who so desperately needed it. |

A sweet older lab mix
rushed to greet us. She also got a new house, a pile of toys and a
lot of food! |

Then we met this sweet pit
bull Bandit... His owners live in this trailer by the river. We
had heard that they were offered an apartment in town but were told that
they could not bring Bandit (NOTE: We met two dogs named Bandit this
day. This Bandit has found a loving home. Bandit Sr. is
still seeking his forever home). So, they live here instead with their
dog, even though they have horrible coughs from the mold which grows
inside their home. He is a part of their family. They love
him and will not move without him. It was so very touching to see
that those who have so little, still have so much love in their hearts
for their pets. They do the best that they can to provide for them
as they know that love and companionship from their animals is truly one
of the most important things in life. |

Bandit's owners were
thrilled to receive food, toys, a new dog house and even a new spiffy
jacket to keep him warm this winter. |

new house with a warm dry blanket! |

The photos
taken above were just from one Home for the HOWLidays team which brought
Christmas to pets of the poor in Granite Falls, WA. There were many,
many other teams across the U.S. Our wonderful Pasado's volunteers
embraced Home for the HOWLidays and delivered hope and miracles while
also spreading the very important message of being kind to animals.
Please
consider joining us next Christmas if you were not able to this year.
It might just be a day that changes your life. Plus, making a
difference in the world just feels good! Together, we can make an
even BIGGER difference!!
Thank you
soooo much for those of you who did donate supplies and/or did spend
Christmas Day with us. We could not have touched so many
lives without you.
