Update: Lodo finds love in
his forever home! |

Lodo stopped to pose
with his new mom and brother, Charlie |
Lodo,
our little muddy puppy rescued in the aftermath of the Lewis County
floods, has found the happiest of forever homes!
He now has three new human brothers to learn from, play and grow with.
Although it is sad for us to see him go, we are thrilled that he has
found such a wonderful family. Congratulations Lodo! We are
so happy that your chapter ends here with such a happy ending and we
can't want to receive updates about your new adventures! |

The
Muddy Little Puppy
This Flood Survivor needs a home!
When the flood calls
You have no home, you have no walls
In the thunder crash
You're a thousand minds, within a flash
-Peter Gabriel, Here Comes the Flood
If there
is one thing I have learned from being on Pasado’s Rescues it is that
often times the ones who come to you in need of help are not usually
right where you are looking. And in a disaster situation, you don’t
always know exactly where to look but somehow the path between rescuer
and animal in need always crosses along the way. Maybe this happens
because our instincts go to higher frequencies in rescue situations. Or
maybe it is because animals are more attuned than we can know… |

Lodo stumbled over
the rubble left by the floods and snuggled up into the arms of a Pasado
Rescuer. Read about our rescue efforts

Maybe that's how it
happened when little muddy Lodo found us in the aftermath of the Lewis
County flood. We were assisting another flood victim with her animals
when a young black puppy appeared, trying his best to get through the
deep mud that even we were having difficulty walking though.
Irresistible from the start, he was quickly scooped up into the arms of
a Pasado Rescuer and given the name Lodo – short for Lodo Negro –
meaning black mud.
He was looking for a home…
And is now at the Pasado’s sanctuary where he is safe and cared for.
Funny how the course of a life can change so dramatically in a day!
But this extremely intelligent little pup is desperate to find his
forever home. He already knows how to sit and is housebroken but wants
a family he can grow up with and learn so much more from.
(Left) Lodo is looking for his forever home. Will it be with you? |

Lodo loves to play
fetch! |
One of the
most beautiful things about animals is that they live in the present.
Afterall, how can you move forward if you dwell in the past? They
really appreciate the good and seem to be able to forget about the bad.
Although Lodo came from a “hard life” he has the best attitude that you
could fit into his 4 month old little body! He is full of spunk and
vigor but also will stop and look at you intently when you are showing
him something new. And as an added bonus, he gets along with other
dogs, cats and chickens!
