Pasado's in the NEWS!
Meet Pasado's founder,
Susan Michaels, profiled in the
January issue of Seattle Magazine! |
|
Some
people day dream about pursuing their passions. Some people just
search for what that might be. And if they are lucky enough to
discover it, dreaming about it is as far as they often go. |

So what
would make a person change their whole life to follow their dream of
changing the world?
Read in Seattle Magazine about our founder, Susan Michaels, and what
inspired her to follow her passion of making the world a better place
"for the animals."
The photo
(left) and photo in the Seattle Magazine article were taken by a very
talented Seattle commercial photographer,
Dean Zulich, who was just runner up on reality TV show,
VH1's The Shot, America's search for the next great fashion
photographer. |
|
If Susan
Michaels had been content with just day dreaming about her passion, we
would have no Pasado's Safe Haven, or a voice for the animals that truly
cannot speak for themselves. |
|
The
following is a touching letter and a lovely tribute to Susan written by
a Pasado's Rescuer and volunteer. The photos are of Pasado's Safe
Haven rescued animal. |

One woman had a dream... a dream to make a difference... a dream to
honor Pasado... a dream to save and nurture...
That woman is YOU, and without you and your dream, so many would be
suffering.
You have touched so many souls over the years with everything you
do.
You have SAVED so many souls over the years with everything you do.
Without you, so many animals and people would be hurting.
|
You probably hear this all of the time, but there are not enough
times for you to hear it.
One strong and beautiful woman, chose to take action, and through
you, the wonderful woman, we are allowed the opportunity to take
action, every day, here in Washington, in all the states that do
Home for the HOWLidays, and in New Orleans after the hell of
Katrina.

I cannot thank you enough. There are no words to honor you. You are
selfless in your giving, you are tireless for those who have no
voice.
You honor Pasado, and you honor us by giving us the means and the
opportunity to do work for the animals EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR.
Not a day goes by that animals are not touched by you, and your
dream, and your spirit.

Please know that so many love you and honor you - not only the
people who you know and work with every day, but the people and the
animals out there that you don't see, who you help through your
work. In so many states, in so many towns, in so many ways, you are
their angel.
Thank you for having a dream. Thank you for making it real. Thank
you for giving us the ability to make a difference in your name and
in the name of Pasado. He lives on through you, and through every
animal and human that is touched by Pasado's Safe Haven.
Ultimately.... touched by you, Susan Michaels, giver of love and
peace.
|
I am honored
to know you, and to be a part of Pasado's every day of the
year.
I hope your
Christmas brings you love, joy and peace.... If you
experience even a fraction of the emotions and love that
each person and animal that you touch has for you, and for
Pasado's Safe Haven, you already know the positive energy
and impact of what you do, for each family and animal you
touch, individually, in their homes and their lives.
With much love
and appreciation.
