Lesley B., above with her
newly-adopted A.A.R.F.F. dog, Ella, recently made a choice that will
save animals long after she no longer shares the world with them. She and
her husband, Michael, made the decision to put Pasado’s Safe Haven in their will.
According to Lesley, “We don’t have children and decided to leave the bulk of our estate to a charitable organization. Two things
stood out: We felt that Pasado’s Safe Haven didn’t have the bureaucracy
or politics of some of the larger animal organizations and we admired the founder’s “can do” attitude. We also feel Pasado’s is very vocal at the legislature, which is very
important to us as well. We want all animals already here treated more than humanely, but we also think it’s important to lobby for
changes in laws so future generations are treated better than their predecessors were. Pasado’s is also relentless in their pursuit of
justice for abused animals - they’re the only local organization that pursues vigorous prosecution of animal abusers, and we want
to support that.”
Remembering the animals in your will is the single most important thing that you can do. Pasado’s Safe Haven provides the only
24-hour rescue of dogs, cats, and farm animals in the Pacific Northwest. We offer the only investigations of cruelty cases -
and you can help make sure a strong voice for the voiceless continues.
I would like to assist in Pasado's Safe
Haven's efforts when I no longer share the world with animals.
Our deepest gratitude for
considering helping the animals in the future. We highly recommend working
with a professional knowledgeable in drafting wills. All he or she will need
is our non-profit number: EIN 91-1843707 and our legal name and
address:
