UPDATE!
Seventh puppy found - tips come in

King County Animal Control has revealed that the body of a seventh puppy had been found, in the same dumpster - dead. This, following the initial sweep of the dumpster. Apparently the deputy, responding to the call from hikers who found the puppies, rushed the puppies to the shelter for veterinary care. Upon returning, and doing a more thorough search, a seventh puppy, a female weighing only two pounds, was buried under layers of garbage in the container. The condition of the body and necropsy performed revealed the seventh puppy was severely malnourished, dehydrated, worm-ridden and, according to KCAC, "appears to have died from exposure".
We have been told by King County Animal Control that five credible tips have come in on this heinous case. Our reward is working! We were also informed that they have no less than six humane officers working this case, for which everyone is so grateful for.

There are many of new developments which we cannot release at this time. We are respectful of the vigilance this case is warranting from KCAC and while we certainly want to tell you, our dedicated animal supporters, all the news  - we simply cannot at this point.

Our deepest thanks to all who came out en force and helped flyer our reward posters everywhere. The "trick" to making a reward work is getting the word out. Volunteers took off of work and walked for hours in the rain, hanging up posters at businesses and around the area where the puppies were dumped.

Left, Susan B. posts on the literal dumpster where the puppies were disposed of. Does anyone know of a mama dog who recently gave birth and yet the puppies seemed to have disappeared?

It made us wretch to see the garbage truck come to empty the dumpster. The crew never checked inside before they lifted the dumpster in the air and into the grinder. We sat, with tears in our eyes, imagining what could have happened and questioned how many times does this happen to unwanted animals who we never hear about in time?

We also have to thank all of the media who showed up to cover this case. A company that does media research sent us a report that showed that over half a million people saw all of the TV news reports over the course of morning, noon, and evening newscasts. And that didn't count radio and newspaper coverage. Once again, offering rewards is all about getting people to hear about them. We have found that people who do this sort of thing to an animal will sell out their mother for a nickel. If the right person hears about this reward (and as we said, solid tips have come in already) then we believe the person who did this will be exposed.

Left, Brendan, B., our hero, helped - again. BJ, as we call him, is always there to help when animals need him. He's testified at legislative hearings, helped about a hundred times at Pasado's sanctuary, and comes to every cruelty case hearing to show his support. If we could just clone people like BJ, the animals would finally be elevated to the status they truly deserve.

Stay tuned to this website. We'll update this story as soon as we learn of new developments. And thank you, to everyone who has donated to our reward fund. If you haven't helped already, please do here.

Hikers finishing a picturesque climb up Tiger Mountain in Issaquah, Washington stumbled on to a shocking find when they heard whimpering coming from a dumpster. Inside, six puppies, cowering in the freezing temperatures, clung to life. The hikers called sheriff's deputies who arrived and took the puppies to the King County Animal Control shelter. One of the puppies died soon after rescue.
