Murphy’s House is built in honor of Murphy P., a 13-year-old Dalmatian who was the soulmate of her mom and dad. In her memory, the first house at A.A.R.F.F. will be constructed, and will take in the old dogs who were never loved as much as Murphy. We couldn't think of a better way to honor a beloved dog.

Daisy’s House rises in memory of an adored little dog who departed this world at the age of 14. Blossoms fill a memorial blueberry bush, planted in the backyard of Daisy's mom and dad's house, where she lived. And love and peace blossom here at A.A.R.F.F., where the old and the unwanted dogs will come to live in Daisy's House.

Freckles' House was named for a dog who needed defending. Chained on a 3' chain, he hid under a dilapidated boat - that was his "shelter", outside a squalid trailer (left) where his owner lived. That "owner" would beat him any time he passed him. Neighbors reported the abuse to Pasado's Safe Haven and after months of investigation, the man was arrested and prosecuted for First Degree Animal Cruelty.

Freckles came to Pasado's, where he was adopted into the most wonderful home you can imagine. Read the entire story of his rescue here.

Sid & Sheba's House is Pasado's "PAW"-spice - our hospice for the oldest animals, living in the last days or months of their lives. Read the touching story of the animals it is named for, and those it helps cross the Rainbow Bridge in love.

What a beautiful legacy these animals will leave - to provide a safe, warm home to those dogs completely abandoned at shelters. We know all these animals are looking down, smiling, and wagging their tails. We need to build more houses and fencing, buy thick, warm bedding, and medicines - we never want to have to turn an old animal away. Please  make a donation in honor or memory of your beloved pet.
