GEORGIE

What happened to you when you were young, sweet girl? Although she was saved from euthanasia, simply because she's not the youngest gal on the block, when Rhonda, one of our most dedicated volunteers approached her, only to give her love, Georgie cowered and got down on her stomach. Rhonda asked, "Maybe I reminded her of someone who was mean to her? Thankfully, she quickly warmed up to me."

We don't know her past but we hope we can guess at her future. Full of love, a big yard, and a tall strong fence. She is still fearful of being enclosed and we want her days to be safe and secure.

Georgie is such a beauty. She has a healthy, shiny coat and a very big tail. Her tail is so thick, you could mop a floor with it! Come out and give her a nice, long walk. She deserves the love she may have never gotten.

SAM

Somebody somewhere loved this darling Cocker Spaniel named Sam, because all 28 pounds of him showed up completely groomed! We don’t know much about his history, but we do know that he’s finished running around making little Sams (he’s neutered!) and he has no communicable diseases (current on shots!) At 12 he does need reading glasses. Okay, okay, so he’s completely blind, but that won’t stop him from enjoying walks (he’s great on a leash) and hanging out with the lucky human who adopts him.

Because of his lack of sight he may need a little time to adjust to his new surroundings, but he is unbelievably sweet and has lots of energy and love to give. Won’t you come by and meet this wonderful boy?

DAKOTA

Sharing, shmaring! Dakota is a very (people) sweet 8-year old Akita who was brought into an out-of-state shelter as a stray. His dashing good looks and affectionate personality make him a favorite amongst our volunteers. Our healthy and handsome boy is showing some protectiveness of humans and has decided he’s not going to share his people with any other dog. So while Dakota hopes your people will contact
his people to arrange a meeting, please don’t have your dog (or cat) contact his people!
MAX

He's a travelin' boy who's been around the world!

With one blue eye and one brown eye, dear old Max is a handsome dude. He is 11 yrs old and weighs 82 lbs. He can hear, see, and is very obedient. And what beautiful, healthy teeth he has! Max has advanced arthritis in his back legs and feet and takes rimadyl and supplements daily. He does fine with stairs at this time although eventually his arthritis will make it difficult to climb them.

He adores people, dogs, cats, loves to walk, play, fetch, and ride in the car. Because of his arthritis, he is looking for a home without small children because he can't have anyone  falling or jumping on him. Max will need consistent ear care to avoid infections. He must have a securely fenced yard, because he loves to wander. In fact, his favorite song is "Traveling man" go figure..... This ol' boy will make a wonderful, loyal, loving companion for some lucky person (YOU?). Come meet him!
