MAGGIE

She's 8-years-old and full of energy and maybe that's why she was dumped at a shelter - our veterinarian examined her and determined that she will require double knee surgery. Her owner most likely loved her, until she needed help the most.

One of her all-time favorite activities is of course.....Fetching! Balls, sticks, as long as you throw it, she wants to retrieve it. It's amazing how she'll put up with the pain. Just to please you.

Come on out to A.A.R.F.F. for a visit, and stop by and say howdy to Maggie. Just make sure you've got a stick in hand!

FLOYD (read more on him here!)

He was down and out and on the run for a while, but this pretty boy Floyd is nothing like the famous bank robber from the twenties.  Well, except if you happen to be another dog.  Floyd plays well with one other dog that we know of, but he definitely prefers being the head honcho.  He has no problem with the ‘C’ word (CAT), however.

Considering that his previous owner dumped him like so much old garbage, Floyd seems to have no desire for revenge.  He’s a big cuddler, loves to go for walks, and he’s just so dang cute.  When you tell him to sit, he eagerly sits down and holds his paw up to shake hands.  He gets so excited by this trick that he sometimes loses his balance in his desire to show you just how smart and cute he is!  His photos really don’t do him justice.

In his mind, this sweet boy is a purebred German Shepherd, but the short legs make us pretty sure a Corgi was involved somehow.  We think he’s about eight, but you’d never know it.  He has lots of energy and lots of love to give.

When Floyd arrived his teeth were pretty bad, so the first stop was the dentist.  All but about four were extracted, so his bark is definitely worse than his bite now!  He may not land a role in the next Ultra Bright ad, but he’s got all the other great attributes anyone would want in a mate; he’s neutered and he’s housetrained!  What's not to love?!  Come say hello to this little lover.

BEAU

Beau is a huge, gorgeous Samoyed mix who will make your teeth ache he is so darn sweet!  He was, as so many seniors are, scheduled to be euthanized at a local shelter when Pasado’s was contacted.  This big dreamboat came in with a skin issue that was a result of an untreated thyroid condition.  He is now on the proper medication and his coat is soft and beautiful as it should be.  He was also un-neutered for all those years, but we took care of that too!  When Beau first arrived, one of our yellow kitties named Fuzzy fell in love with him, and the love was mutual.  Beau let Fuzzy walk on his back and snuggle up under his chin, so we know he is fine with cats!
