A.A.R.F.F. Saves California
Dogs!
Ariel, left, a little girl (Shiba Inu breed) was about 10-12 years
of age and found herself dumped at a California shelter. Arthritic and
scared, she didn't' know what her future held for her.
|
|
|
Lake, left, was there,
too. He was older, and had been abandoned by his owner. He had been there
since March. And even though this shelter tried desperately to keep these
two for as long as possible, well, you know the routine - there are so
many animals dumped at shelters, they couldn't keep them forever and Ariel
& Lake faced euthanasia.

Volunteers to the rescue!
Thanks to two compassionate volunteers at the California shelter, Pasado's
Safe Haven was alerted to the fate of Ariel and Lake. And thanks to
Stephanie, left, airmiles were donated to fly Ariel & Lake to
Pasado's Safe Haven! We cannot thank Stephanie enough - she made it
possible for us not to use any donated funds to save these dogs. As she
said, "I can't think of a better way to use my miles!"

|
It takes a village!
Left, Daphne, who resides in the San Diego area, volunteered to
accompany the dogs on the flight to Seattle. She meets Stephanie for the
first time - what a life-saving team!

Ariel & Lake were
loaded into a car for the ride home to A.A.R.F.F. at Pasado's Safe Haven.
They both are on arthritic pain medications and await someone to give them
a loving home. If you have the heart to give them a foster or permanent
home, please let us know here.
And until then, they'll reside at A.A.R.F.F. awaiting true love!
