Pasado’s Safe Haven is committed to rescue, rehabilitation, and animal cruelty investigation. This month, Pasado’s will be adding to our team to better serve those who need our help the most.  Pasado’s recently received a grant to hire two new Cruelty Investigators in Pierce County.

Matt McNaughton, Pasado’s CEO, shared his gratitude about the receipt of this grant. “I’m extremely grateful to the Gary E. Milgard Family Foundation for their support of this project,” he stated. “Fighting animal cruelty is one of the most important things we do at Pasado’s. Adding additional resources in Pierce County will help crack down on perpetrators, educate the public on human-animal relationships, and save lives.”

Animal cruelty is a crime and we take it very seriously. Your call to the police may mean the difference between life and death. Pasado’s expects that the new office will be confronting issues pertaining to puppy mills, dog fighting, and dog tethering as well as other acts of animal cruelty. If you witness an animal being abused or neglected, or you suspect that abuse is going on, the most important action that you can take is to make a report. If you witness animal cruelty in Pierce County, Washington, please report it immediately to our Pierce County office at 253-466-3722.

We look forward to seeing friends old and new on October 14 from 11:00 – 2:00 as we celebrate our grand opening and open house of our new office at 315  39th Avenue Southwest, Suite 14, Puyallup, WA, 98373. You can also meet Pasado’s new Animal Cruelty Investigation Team. Refreshments will be served. Parking will be available behind the building.
