UPDATE 4/21/2011, 3.29pm- According to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office, Diane E. Cowling died of acute coronary artery thrombosis, which can be more simply described as a heart attack.

Death Investigation
On April 20, 2011, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office responded to the jail to investigate the death of a 65 year old female inmate. The Medical Examiner also responded. The cause of death is pending an autopsy. The woman was booked into jail on 01/24/2011 on 34 counts of Animal Cruelty.

The woman has been identified by Chief Dennis Taylor as Diane Cowling. Diane Cowling had pleaded guilty to six counts of animal cruelty last month and was scheduled to be sentenced on Monday, April 25th, 2011. Pasado’s Safe Haven will continue to speak up about crimes against animals and to fight for justice for them.
