Remarkable Roz had a litter of kittens just in time for Mother’s Day in 2010. Roz had been abandoned to fend for herself and for her kittens, but this devoted mother ensured that her babies received the care that they needed. The attentive, affectionate mother provided her kittens with love and security, helping them grow to be kind and confident young cats. While all of her babies found their own homes, Roz is still awaiting her forever family.
Roz is currently residing in Kitty City’s FIV area with Homer, Jasper, and Jimmy. All of these cats would be deemed “unadoptable” at shelters because of their FIV-positive diagnosis, but FIV isn’t a death sentence. Cats with FIV can live out long, happy lives. Cats like Roz still have a lot of love to give and Pasado’s believes that they deserve the chance to live.
At approximately two years of age, Roz is scarcely out of kittenhood herself. While she was wary at first, after much love and reassurance, this mother is now very friendly and gregarious. She loves other cats and truly seems to enjoy their company. With love, care, and proper nutrition, her coat has become shiny and fluffy. Roz likes to be held and hopes to mother other cats who might benefit from her maternal care. While she can only be in a home with other FIV-positive cats, this loving mother hopes to find a family who will appreciate her maternal tendencies and perhaps provide her with some mothering, as well.
