Nadia
Little Nadia, just three months old, was found lying beside the road after being hit by a car. A Good Samaritan had seen her there and rushed her to a veterinarian. Though the vet clinic so graciously donated most of her care, her diagnosis was devastating. Nadia was paralyzed from the waist down.
It must have been heart wrenching for the people around her as they worried about her fate. Who could take a puppy in this condition? Nadia, however, was never fazed. She did not know the challenges she would soon face. Her amazing spirit shines through to everyone who meets her. She simply does not know that she is “disabled.”
Pasado’s Safe Haven rescues the animals who fall through the cracks, including the old, the sick and injured animals like Nadia. This amazing girl now lives at Pasado’s beautiful 85 acre sanctuary where she can be given the love and medical care she needs. Every day offers a new adventure for Nadia as she meets new people and dogs at the Pasado’s sanctuary. And, we saw how easily Nadia was able to adapt when we got her a set of wheels. “Once she realized that she could take off, she really took off!” said Animal Farm Manager, Mara.
People often comment on how we could all learn a lesson from Nadia – to remember what is really important – friends, relationships, memories…and the power of a positive attitude in any situation. Nadia clearly does not dwell on what has been lost, but more on what has been gained.
Will you help the next animal who has no other chance by donating today?
