Lady Baa Baa cried out non-stop for her mother who had been taken to slaughter

Lady Baa Baa

Lady Baa Baa must have felt that her life had been written as a “bad romance” when she lost her mother and her home. The plucky little lamb’s owners were evicted and this directly impacted their herd of sheep, as well. The evicted owners sent all of their sheep to slaughter, with the exception of Lady Baa Baa. The woman who owned the herd felt that Lady Baa Baa was very sweet and had a special attachment to her. Even with the recognition of the little lamb’s lovely personality, life was still uncertain. After a short time, the woman called Pasado’s Safe Haven and asked if we could take in the little lamb – otherwise, Lady Baa Baa was slaughter-bound, as well. Pasado’s appreciated the opportunity to save the little lamb, but we received the call too late to save her mother. Sadly, Lady Baa Baa’s mother had been shipped to slaughter only the day before we rescued her. At two months of age, Lady Baa Baa was still reliant upon her mother. She never truly got to know her mother and she mourned this profound loss for many months. We can only imagine the devastation that this mother and child experienced.
Lady Baa Baa was never given the opportunity to know her mother, but it didn’t have to be this way. While her beginning was tragic, we have great hope for our lyrical little lamb. At the sanctuary, Lady Baa Baa cavorts around happily and her new refrain appears to be “just dance.” She has found a family in all of the sanctuary’s residents.
At Pasado’s Safe Haven, we recognize each living being as an individual with their own personality, not as a commodity to be bought and sold. While we are saddened that we couldn’t save the rest of her family, it warms our hearts to know that Lady Baa Baa will be given a chance to live and be loved. Lady Baa Baa never truly experienced motherly love, but this orphan will live out her days surrounded by family and she will never again be alone.

Hahaha! I love this! Lady Gaga wore a meat dress to an awards show because she wanted to make a STATEMENT that she wasn’t a piece of meat.
Hmmmm…So, instead she turned an innocent animal into a piece of meat, by wearing it around like some deranged Hannibal Lecter. Well…that makes sense!
Thank you Pasado’s for showing that while Lady Baa Baa may be considered by some to actually BE a piece of meat, that we can all choose the humane option, like a nice salad…
Or, as Lady Baa Baa has made a point of doing, wearing a KALE dress instead of a meat dress to make a point that you aren’t a piece of meat!
She could have made the same statement for PETA by not wearing ANYTHING. And it would have actually done some good. But that wouldn’t have gotten everyone talking would it? That has been done, by far more nobel people than Miss. Lecter…and so, doesn’t have nearly the shock impact that wearing raw flesh does. I had noticed that her publicity was fading. What an unoriginal way to revive her image. So many have already done “stupid stunt”…she should have went with a sex scandal like any other good media whore.
